SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) adalah suatu alat yang dibuat untuk keperluan transfer data antara komputer dan periferal. SCSI menjelaskan tentang perintah-perintah, protokol ,
antarmuka elektrik dan optik yang diperlukan. SCSI menawarkan kecepatan
transfer data yang paling tinggi di antara yang lainnya.
Penggunaan SCSI paling banyak terdapat di hard disk dan tape drive.
Namun, SCSI juga terdapat pada scanner, printer, dan peranti optik (DVD,
CD, dan lainnya).
SAS hard Disk ini menggantikan disk bertipe SCSI .SAS lebih reliable,
performance baik dalam kondisi apapun serta kemampuan yang lebih jika
dibandingkan dengan hardisk SATA atau mungkin yang lainnya.
Hard Disk SAS memiliki urutan node yang paling aman jika dibandingkan
dengan hard disk SATA. Hal ini di ukur oleh bit error rate
(BER) atau seberapa sering bit error yang terjadi pada media.
